Sunderland, Hobsonville Point, Auckland - completed 2017

Over 200 new quality homes - a Hobsonville Point first

Formerly the site of the Hobsonville Royal New Zealand Air Force Base, Hobsonville Point is located 11km from the Auckland CBD. Willis Bond successfully acquired the rights to develop the 4.7 hectare Sunderland A Block in 2013.

We engaged with Studio Pacific Architecture to develop the site into a neighbourhood with approximately 210 residences of varying typologies; 190 new homes and 19 fully refurbished former Air Force homes from the 1930s.

The result is a diverse range of quality homes that are well connected to open spaces and integrated into the wider Hobsonville Point development. A distinct design ethos underpins the entire precinct, delivering a quality of living rarely seen anywhere else in Auckland and providing an excellent basis for it to develop into a strong, long-lasting community.
