Bell Gully Building wins NZ Architecture Award

Last night our Site 9 Kumutoto project – now known as the Bell Gully Building – was recognised at the New Zealand Architecture Awards, winning in the commercial architecture category.

The judges noted that the project is a standout example of a response to a challenging site with architectural ingenuity and sensitive urban design, and that it blends seamlessly with the maritime and historical context of its surroundings. It was also noted that the project excels in material durability, clever internal planning, and a well-thought-out interface with public realms, making it a notable addition to Wellington's evolving waterfront landscape.

Congratulations to all our partners who made this project possible, notably Wellington City Council, Athfield Architects Ltd, Dunning Thornton Consultants, CORA and WSP in New Zealand, and LT McGuinness Ltd. Also thanks to the building's tenants who provide its purpose: Bell Gully, Servcorp, Eye Institute, JLL, Sotheby's, and Polished Diamonds.
