Tauranga City Council partner with Willis Bond to deliver $300m civic precinct project

Willis Bond worked in collaboration with Tauranga City Council, and mana whenua, Ngai Tamarāwaho, Ngāti Tapu and Te Materāwaho, to refresh the Tauranga Civic Precinct Masterplan. Today, these plans were formally approved by the Commission.

The $300m project will include new facilities in the heart of New Zealand’s fifth largest city, including a civic whare (public meeting house), museum, library, hotel and a performing arts and conference centre. The masterplan also includes the waterfront reserve, linking the entire precinct back to Tauranga Moana.

Our team at Willis Bond are thrilled to be involved in this city revitalisation project alongside our consultants and long-term partners, Studio Pacific Architecture and LT McGuinness.
