KiwiRail joins Blue Mountains Campus

Willis Bond is delighted to welcome KiwiRail to Blue Mountains Campus – the Wellington region’s new, green resilient business hub.

KiwiRail has a secured 2,700 square metres in Stage 1 of the 36,000 square metre development. Its new premises will include a state-of-the-art new train control room, which is set to be complete and ready to occupy by late 2022.

Located at 68 Ward Street, Upper Hutt, only a two-minute walk from Wallaceville railway station, the five-hectare campus offers a blend of Green-Star rated commercial and retail space in a unique park-like setting across a mix of strengthened existing buildings and modern low-rise buildings.

Unique within the Wellington region, the campus can accommodate bespoke facilities for a wide range of business uses including office and co-working, data centres, laboratories, food production and brewing operations, with Willis Bond able to provide tailored design-and-build options as well as ready-to-lease space.

The campus features a strong amenity offering for employees, which includes a cafe, running loop, showers and changing spaces, bike and car parking and closeby childcare options. Further retail and wellbeing amenity will be added in future stages.

Only 30 minutes from Wellington CBD, the site provides businesses the option to use the campus as an every day location, a disaster-recovery site or both, strengthening their regional and resilience profiles.

The campus is also located in one of the most resilient commercial locations in the region with a variety of roading and public transport access options, a low risk of natural hazards and robust water, power and data provision.

Now under construction with Stage 1 due to be ready for occupation in late 2022, the campus is now seeking tenants. For more informaton please see www.bluemountainscampus.co.nz
