Building communities with purpose

Willis Bond is committed to building exceptional spaces for communities to live, work, and play. Our commitment to this vision can be seen through our track record of delivering high-quality developments in Auckland and Wellington since 1988, and we are excited to now also be working in Tauranga.

Further to this, we proudly choose to partner with not-for-profit organisations that focus their work on helping communities to thrive through one or more of the following aims:

  • enriching people’s lives through art, culture, sport, or education

  • fostering manaakitanga through building trust, mutual respect, and wellbeing for others

  • building a better, more sustainable future for New Zealand

  • delivering quality, community-focused events in locations where we have active projects

  • filling an important, overlooked gap in services to strengthen communities.

Supporting exceptional community-focused endeavours

Every year Willis Bond pledges over $1 million to support organisations making a difference in our communities. Some of the initiatives we have supported recently include:

Community activation fund

As part of our commitment to helping communities to thrive, Willis Bond gifts $10,000 to the Body Corporate committee of every new residential development it builds. This fund is a kick-starter for residents to spend on community events and activations and encourages residents to get to know their neighbours and support local businesses in the area through social gatherings and events.

Employee volunteer days

Willis Bond employees are encouraged to take one working day a year to give back to their community in a way that is meaningful to them. Employee volunteer days can be used to assist with a wide range of community-focused activities including donation collections, assisting one of our community partners, helping at a community event, tree planting or their own charitable endeavours.
