Hobsonville Point is a 167 hectare block owned by the Crown and managed by Hobsonville Land Company, a Crown owned entity.
The land is 11 km from the Auckland CBD, a short 20 minute drive in off peak traffic. The area is connected by continuous motorways both from the north and the west. It is situated on the upper Waitemata Harbour and across from Beachhaven Point. Willis Bond successfully acquired the rights to develop the Sunderland A Block, a 4.7 hectare block via a competitive tender.
Willis Bond has engaged with Studio Pacific Architecture to produce a Neighbourhood Plan which has approximately 210 dwellings of varying typologies. The vision is to build a strong, long lasting community, by creating a diverse range of quality homes that are well connected to open spaces and integrated into the wider Hobsonville Point development. Since November 2014, four stages of homes have been released for sale. The first 35 families have moved into their Sunderland homes.
